Background

Keith attended the University of Texas at Austin and received his bachelor’s degree in 1989. He then graduated from Law School at the University of Houston and was admitted to practice law on May 1, 1992 by the Supreme Court of Texas. After law school, Keith started his career in criminal law at the Liberty County Attorney’s Office before moving to the Brazoria County Criminal District Attorney’s Office in 1995.

While at the District Attorney’s Office, he rose to the position of First Assistant District Attorney, the highest job in the District Attorney’s Office aside from the publicly elected position of District Attorney. While there, Keith gained extensive experience in criminal law and was responsible for a staff of more than 50 employees. Keith then achieved Board Certification in Criminal Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. Since then, Keith has gone into private practice opening the Law Offices of Keith G. Allen PLLC where he continues to serve and represent the people of Texas in criminal law matters as a criminal defense attorney in Pearland and other areas.
